Welcome to all of our Turtle families!  This is an exciting time of year for all of us!  Your child will meet new friends and grow so much this year you will be amazed!  We work and play very hard in our class!  We will begin our weekly wok on Zoo phonics and numbers beginning the week of August 30th!  We will study the letters A,B,C,D and E!  Our numbers will be 1,2,3,4 and 5!  In science we will review colors and mixing them to create new colors and our 5 senses!  We will start our sights word board with at, and, the! 

In art we will get to know each other and all about school and apples!  They love art and their creations are beautiful!

Sharing will start on the 30th as well, I will divide children into groups and let you know which color group your Turtle is in and when they will share.  They may bring anything in to share; this promotes public speaking and question forming for sharer and others.  Sometimes this is our favorite part of the day!

Please have your Turtle sign their names on the sign in table beginning August 30th, this strengthens name recognition and printing! 

Early drop off starts the 1st day of school August 19h.  Lunch Bunch begins September 7th, sign up by office!

Dates to remember:

• August 19th-1st full day of school-Bring your buckets, snacks and a big smile!
• September 6th-CCPS closed –Labor Day
• September 7th-Lunch Bunch begins!
• September 9th-Waterplay day-Bring a towel swimsuit and flip flops for fun in the sun-more info to follow regarding this event!
